The Ceremony of Signing an Agreement of Nano Emulsion Research Licensing

Quality Plus Aesthetic International Company Limited and Thammasat University, have signed the agreement of the research licensing for Nano Emulsion from Purified Xanthone extract.

On Thursday, November 7th 2019, Associate Professor Kesinee Withurachat, President of Thammasat University, and the management of Quality Plus Aesthetic International Company Litited, represented by Company President Mr. Asada Thepyos, and Company Managing Director Mr. Wuttipong Panitsettakorn, have signed the contract of the research rights of Nano Emulsion with Alpha Mangosteen extract derived from Mangosteen peel (Purified Xanthone). The ceremony was honored by Professor Dr. Anat Limakdet, Director of the Center for Intellectual Property and Business Incubation, who has announced the signing of the research results rights contract.

This research is a collaboration between Thammasat University and Quality Plus Aesthetic International Company Limited, which is bringing the research results from Academic Departments in Educational Institutions, for further expanding in the commercial industry. The research results of Nano-Emulsion formulation, containing Alpha Mangostin from Mangosteen Peel, which is the extension of the Purified Xanthone innovation. This is the development of the crude extract of mangosteen with the technology of Pure Extract that is researched by Institute for Research and Development of Agricultural Products and Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University. The extract that called Purified Xanthone, and its further research and development with Nano-Emulsion Technology successfully obtained from the research of Thammasat University. Resulted as Purified Xanthone Nano Emulsion, which is effective in suppressing the bacteria that cause acne, reduce the inflammation and irritation of the skin, inhibiting tyrosinase, and fights against free radicals. The Nano-Emulsion form of Purified Xanthone is highly effective on the skin.

The signing of this agreement become an important step to upgrade and develop the cosmetic industry in Thailand, that can develop important extracts from agricultural products with the standards accepted internationally. It will increase the value of agricultural products, with the higher knowledge base and technology in the country, and also causing the cosmetic industry to reduce imports of foreign extracts for consumption, and the ability to export extracts to the international cosmetic market.
